What actually happens on the course?
There are two materials you will be using: Sterling Silver and Silver Clay. Louise will introduce you the sterling silver to be used for your bangle and to an amazing material, silver clay and will explain how the clay will become solid silver charms for your bangle by the end of your course.
You will shape and make your bangle from sterling silver under the guidance of Louise.
Then you will make your charms. Louise has moulds and ideas for creating wonderful designs from the silver clay. Louise will then show you how to fire your pieces. This process removes particles in the clay to leave solid silver charms. You will then polish your charms. This whole process never ceases to amaze people, transforming a piece of silver clay into a final polished solid silver jewellery pieces for you to show off with pride.
On a half-day course, you will make one bangle along with two or three solid silver charms, depending on size and complexity of the charms.
Silver clay is an environmentally-friendly recycled product, which when fired, becomes solid silver of Hallmark quality.
