Art Clay Diploma Level One

The Diploma is an educational curriculum set by the art clay manufacturers, Aida Chemical Industries.  It is a jewellery industry recognised qualification of considerable note.

The Level One Diploma runs over 3 days and covers 6 projects that demonstrate different skills and techniques . The course will be held at my studio in Market Bosworth.  You will be guided through the projects by me, Louise, a fully qualified tutor, but the work must be your own, so you do need to have had some metal clay experience.

During the course you will typically cover a range of techniques for working with metal clay and will come away with 2 rings , a brooch, a pair of earrings and 2 pendants. There are guidelines for each of the pieces you make, but there is scope for your own designs.

Following successful completion of the course, your work will be marked and paperwork will be submitted as part of the application process for your Diploma Certificate.

Once you receive your Diploma Certificate you will be entitled to claim a 15% discount from any official supplier of Art Clay.

• Jewellery pieces that you make on the course to take away and keep

• Submission for the Diploma

• 15% discount from any official supplier of Art Clay following successful completion of the Diploma
• Light refreshments of tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits

This course enables you to develop your skills and provides great insight into more developed techniques when working with metal clay.
